Agility Classes

Canine Agility is a very popular and still growing dog sport. While opportunities abound for competitive performance where you may earn titles for your dog in agility, it is basically a positively fun activity for you and your dog – and great exercise, too. Agility builds confidence, coordination, relationship, and training skills with your canine companion.

Claudia currently runs agility with her companion dogs; Husky/Aussie X Sally and Jack Russell Terrier, Lucy. Her first agility dog was her veteran Husky, Maggie, who started life as a lost dog in Germany. Claudia rescued Maggie and began her training while still living in Germany. A pre-requisite for entering agility in Germany requires each dog pass an obedience test which includes heeling, stay, and recall. When Claudia moved to the USA and started The Better Companion, it wasn’t long before she added agility classes to her curriculum.
