ALL-DAY EVENTS:
10am-4pm: Meet the Breed – have a purebred dog/ want a dog but not sure what? Bring your dog and we’ll present your breed to the crowd, talking about their temperament as well. Not purebred, but well-behaved? Bring him/her on and let us guess what breeds yours combines! This will be an on-going highlight throughout the afternoon so let us know when you & your dogs arrive and we’ll announce you promptly!
10am-4pm: Vendor booths – open to visit. Also: gear swap. Would you like to have a booth at our event? No fee, we’d just like to know ahead of time to plan you in. The booths will be outside on grass or indoors on mats. You could bring a pop-up tent/shelter, a table and a chair to set up your stuff
10am-4pm: free hot dogs and soft drinks, door prizes and other giveaways, silent auction, micro-chipping (small fee), nail trimming (small fee)!
10:00am: Treibball demonstration! Also called the “urban herding sport”, Treibball mimics herding techniques using exercise balls instead of real sheep. Come and learn how to play Treibball with your dog! Any breed of dog can learn this fun sport - and it’s one you can play at home!
10:30am: Nose Work Demonstration - check out this new, fast-growing sport for our four-legged friends! Every dog with a nose can do it! This sport builds confidence in shy dogs, mellows out dog-reactive dogs, and is fun for any dog of any size and shape!
11:00am: Search & Rescue demo. Found out what it takes to be a serious Search & Rescue team.
11:30am: Emergency Preparedness
12:00 Noon: CGCA®-test, AKC’s new Community Canine

3:30pm: Main Prize Drawing
4:00pm: Festivities wind down
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th, 2015:
AKC’s CGC® Test
Start time will be 11am - Advance or same-day sign-up is still OK; paperwork for everybody; then general briefing of all participants; testing starts after the briefing in the order of sign-up (payment received). Would you like to see what a Canine Good Citizen® test is about? Then come and volunteer! No pre-requisite required, we’ll teach you on the job. Let us know if you can help, so that we can schedule you in. Then show up at 10:30am on Sunday, ½ hr before the sign-up starts. We also need a CGC-dog for the meet-and-greet with a strange dog. If your dog has passed the CGC-test and is mellow and neutral about strange dogs, you could be the one! We look forward to seeing you!
